We started Pony Camps in 2013 and they have been a massive hit with the local girls, so much so an adult camp was demanded in 2016 as they were fed up with the juniors having all the fun!

Camp is open to all and is aimed at the everyday grass roots rider to the more competitive of us, we love having a mixture of goals it really helps everyone encourage each other!
During your four day/three night stay in the beautiful Cornish countryside, you can enjoy progressing with your horse as our instructors give you the tricks of the trade to improve your confidence & technique, with demos and other activities to expand your knowledge, the chance to relax and unwind with a leisurely hack within the 400 acre estate... relaxation will probably be variable depending on your horse, theres always one nutter ;)
​The Venue

The SCEA camp is being hosted in the Idealic setting of Chyverton Park Estate, Cornwall. An equestrian training and competition centre set in 400 acres of wood, farm and parkland offering miles of off road hacking, which you can enjoy. The venue offers a homely feel and we bring a supportive community.
Facilities include
Stables including straw bedding and hay
60x30 outdoor arena
45x25 outdoor arena
100 fence XC course for all abilities ranging from 1'6 - 3'7 designed by Adrian Ditcham
Outdoor Jumping arena including derby bank
On site Toilets and shower will be put in lorry park
Where possible I will try and keep friends stables together. There is no turnout although you may graze in hand. Please bring your own feed. Straw bedding and Hay is included in your price. 

What will you get upto?

An assessment lesson on the first day to set some goals for the camp and get to know everyone, XC schooling Clinic on day two, day three you can choose between dressage with Verity Perry or Flatwork for Showjumping with Elly in the morning and gridwork in the afternoon and we round the camp off with a combined training competition on the last day with plenty of rosettes! Other Activities include Pilates with Elly to help understand and engage your core, painted horse demo, plus pleny more! There is plenty of time to hack and chillout and have a chat with the girls! The groups are small with upto 4 riders in each group and each lesson is an hour long.

The Riders:
You need to be able to walk trot and canter with others in an enclosed arena, if you’re on a young, new or tricky horse and have not worked in ‘open order’ with others, of if you have any other questions or concerns, please contact me (Elly) on 07775992585 for advice before booking. On the last day there will be a friendly competition; this will include a dressage test & show jumping. Most campers do bring show gear and dress smart, although this is not required; it does look nice and is a great way to finish camp. We will have a prize giving at the end of camp with team and individual prizes as well as a few extras for people who have really stood out! Guests are welcome to come and watch you and we encourage as many fan clubs as possible to cheer you all on for competition and BBQ day, although it will be £3 extra for BBQ guests to munch!

​Meet & Eat!

Your camp starts at from 9am on the Thursday, with lunch and a welcome meeting at 12 noon, (all horses and riders to arrive between before 11am). It is possible to arrive before Thursday morning but please contact us to book extra nights stables

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included in the price, along with Tea, coffee and cold juice during break times, oh and obviously plenty of biscuits!
You need to bring a tent/horse box etc to sleep in, alternativey there are some lovely hotels and B&B's locally.

​The Boring Bits...

The cost of the Camp is £315 or £295 for members, payment of £100 deposit is required on booking and the remaining amount needs to be paid by July 1st.

Your horse needs a passport and to be vaccinated. You’ll need a riding hat to current standard (no fixed peak hats on XC) and a body protector for XC schooling. High Viz for hacking is also recommended.
